Salinus is a specialist developer of Sulphate of Potash (SOP) projects, partnering with existing operations to integrate SOP production using traditional waste products as feedstock.
By combining technology, operational experience, project development expertise and commercial structuring, Salinus delivers a complete solution from concept to production.
Our cooperation with existing producers is flexible and can include:
SOP is a macro nutrient and a premium, chloride-free fertiliser that is essential for high-value crops such as fruits, vegetables, and tree nuts.
Salinus will produce SOP from seawater-derived bitterns generated during solar salt production, utilising K-UTEC's patented Schoenite Process. This approach avoids mining, borefields and variable inland brine sources, resulting in a stable, predictable feedstock.

Salinus is also progressing studies into SOP from industry-generated sodium sulphate waste streams, utilising K-UTEC’s patented Glaserite Process to recover valuable minerals, reduce waste disposal and support circular economy principles.
Our projects are designed to integrate seamlessly with existing operations, leveraging shared facilities and infrastructure and reducing environmental impact.
Shared facilities and infrastructure
Reduced capital and operating costs
Smaller environmental footprint
Improved overall resource efficiency
This integration creates value for both Salinus and the producers supplying these renewable feedstocks.
Salinus follows a disciplined, phased development approach aligned with international standards:
This structure reduces development risk and supports funding and execution strategy.
